Do you prioritise safety on your farm? The time to act is now.

At ProcessWorx, one of our main objectives is to ensure that our clients are WorkSafe compliant and make safety a priority every single working day. Deaths on farms are becoming far too common, and our aim is to eliminate that risk and ensure that Farmers are compliant with all safety requirements.

The Workplace Safety Legislation Amendment Act 2019 has just been passed by the Victorian Parliament which introduces ‘industrial manslaughter’ as an offense under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004.

The change becomes  effective on July 1, 2020, with agricultural business owners and operators, self-employed workers and officers liable to be fined up to $16.5 million and risk a prison sentence of  20 years duration.

In addition to the Queensland and Victorian Governments, the Northern Territory, ACT and Western Australian Governments are also considering introducing similar legislation.

It‘s never too late to take advantage of the free HR and Safety Assessment available from ProcessWorx; Doing so may just save a life.
